An own-brand product with OEM engineering
An own-brand product using an OEM model lets you market under your identity while UNLIX develops the necessary electronics, firmware and software. We can take on engineering, industrialisation, manufacturing and technical continuity. We also offer optional go-to-market support when the project requires it.
Your commercial identity, a defined development
Your customer sees your brand. We build and maintain the device, control software and management platform within the agreed scope. The starting point may be your own specification or a requirement that still needs a product definition. Before designing, we review what it should do, where it will be used and which systems it needs to integrate.
We develop products for third parties: hardware adapted to your specification, firmware, interface customisation, production preparation and manufacturing coordination, integration with your systems and ongoing technical support. You market under your identity; we handle engineering and technical continuity behind it. This does not mean that every project includes the same components or delivery stages.
OEM, white label and co-development
In OEM development, we work from your product requirements. White labelling places your identity in the experience received by the customer, including the interface when it forms part of the assignment. Customisation should be agreed together with functions, data and integrations, rather than added as a decision separate from the technical design.
This differs from co-development: in the OEM model, the product is for your brand and we take on its engineering; in co-development, we work alongside your technical team, which remains responsible for its own parts. When other suppliers are involved, we coordinate interfaces and clarify who develops, operates and supports each system layer.
Manufacturing and continuity after delivery
Manufacturing preparation builds on product design and testing. We can take on full product manufacturing, managing the resources and suppliers required for the project. We can also limit our involvement to engineering, production preparation or technical coordination. Contractual responsibilities are agreed before work begins. Where appropriate, we prepare tests for the intended use and target market. Certification belongs to the relevant laboratory or accredited body; it is not assumed because an existing technology foundation is used or a functional prototype has been built.
Documentation and training help your team understand and support the product within the agreed responsibilities. Support, remote updates and software evolution are specified per project. Sharing a reusable foundation does not remove the need to review specific functions and their limitations before deciding how they should be maintained.

Intellectual property, documentation and lifecycle
Ownership and licences of the electronic design, firmware and software, and what can be reused, are agreed by contract, case by case. There are no universal terms: they depend on what is developed specifically for you and what existing foundation is reused.
