Firmware development and embedded systems
If your device does not behave as it should, or needs its own embedded software, firmware is where it gets solved: how it collects measurements, controls functions, connects, updates and responds to events during use.
When the device does not do what you need
A device that locks up, loses data, will not connect or cannot take new functions usually has its problem in the embedded software. A board alone does not solve the requirement. Firmware coordinates electronics, control logic and communications so the device behaves as intended. We start with your operating requirements and existing functions, whether the task is developing a new device or extending one already installed. The starting point is the required behaviour, not a list of technologies to add.
We define what should happen in the device itself and what belongs in the services or applications it communicates with. That separation matters when connectivity is unavailable or a decision depends on external information. We review interfaces with hardware and existing systems before developing isolated functions that could later prove difficult to integrate.
Adapt the foundation without imposing an architecture
Our experience covers electronics, embedded software, connectivity, remote updates and management of installed devices. AITHAOS forms part of that reusable foundation. We use it where requirements fit and develop specific functions where the product needs them. It is not a condition for working with us: we can integrate firmware and hardware that you already use.
If an internal technical team or suppliers maintain other layers, we agree interfaces, tools and responsibilities. Device logic must be consistent with data formats, incoming commands and platform functions. Co-development lets us provide the missing layer without replacing the people who already understand and maintain the rest of the system.
Testing, documentation and continuity
Development proceeds through implementation, testing and adjustment stages. We check firmware together with electronics and connections: software working in isolation does not yet demonstrate that the complete product meets the requirement. The scope of testing is agreed according to its functions and operating environment, with the result reviewed against those expectations.
Documentation should make clear which version is being used, how it relates to the other parts and which limitations remain unresolved. If the starting point is incomplete development, code, documentation and hardware are audited first to decide what to keep, as described under project recovery. We do not promise to recover every function without reviewing the available material.
We work from Madrid, Spain. Share the devices, development tools, accessible code and behaviour you need to change. That context allows us to define the work and the criteria for reviewing its result.
